What should I bring?
No need to bring anything except yourself. A towel, slippers, shower gels, and conditional will be provided for you at the spa. We recommend floating naked rather than with a swimming costume.
Do I need to book?
Yes. Sometimes a same day float session is available but it is definitely advisable to check in advance to be sure.
What is a float tank?
HSF wellness centre has three states of art floatation tanks which are curvaceous and friendly featuring a full length (dolphin) style door. The tank is designed so it can operate with the door open or closed and the internal light on or off.
How do I know if it hygienic?
The high salt content of the water means that nothing harmful can live in the float environment. An advanced filtration system filters the water between each float session ensuring a total clean, sterile environment.
Will my skin go wrinkly?
No. The high salt content of the water means that the water will not draw the salt from your skin causing wrinkles as happens in a long bath. In fact the Epson slats are actually very nourishing for the skin and yours will feel silky soft after your float session.
What if I am claustrophobic?
The float tank is a private lockable room meaning there is no need to close the lid of the tank or switch off the light if you do not wish to. The door control and light switch are within finger tip reach once you are inside tank.
Can I come with a friend?
Yes. Floating is a very unique experience that is wonderful to share with a friend. We can reserve two float suites at the same time for you but it is not possible to share a tank.
Can I float if I am pregnant?
Yes, although it is always a good idea to check wit your GP first. The weightless environment of the tank is actually greatly beneficial for expectant mothers. Stress and strain on your back and abdominal muscles is alleviated and the deep state of mental relaxation is wonderful for both mothers and child.
